According to CDF Munir, armed forces are still committed to combating terrorism.

— Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the armed forces, backed by the unflinching support of the nation, are determined to wipe out terrorists and provide permanent peace and stability to the country.

This was mentioned by the Field Marshal on Tuesday during his visit to Corps Headquarters Peshawar.

He was informed about existing security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ongoing counter terrorist operations, border management measures and operational readiness of units deployed in the province.

The COAS & CDF appreciated the strong morale, readiness and professionalism of the commanders and troops and said they remained loyal to the country and its people.

Field Marshal Asim Munir instructed formations to be cautious and maintain the highest levels of operational preparedness.

He also offered Fateha and set a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and paid rich homage to the people who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the country and in the struggle against terrorism. He repeated that their extraordinary sacrifices will never be forgotten.

On arrival, the COAS & CDF was met by Commander Peshawar Corps.
