Six cops, two women, and a child among 11 martyred in DI Khan checkpost attack

At least 11 people died and several others injured in suspected suicide car bomb assault on police checkpost in Darazinda region of Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, initial reports said.

Rescue 1122 and police sources confirmed the blast initially and said the explosives-laden car hit the checkpost and caused a tremendous explosion.

Sources said the 11 dead include six police personnel, two Customs officials, two ladies and a two-year-old child.

Several others, including police and Customs officers, were hurt in the incident.

Rescue personnel said the injured were being given medical treatment before being shifted to hospitals.
