A basement flood caused by rainwater kills 11 members of a family.

Eleven family members became trapped in the flooded basement while they were sleeping, according to Rescue 1122. Six children, three women, and two men, all from the same family, are among the deceased.

The bodies were moved by the rescue officials to a neighboring hospital so that the medical records could be completed.

The spokesperson also stated that a five-year-old girl had been found in the flooded basement.

The prolonged drought in Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has ended with heavy rainfall.

Despite the current monsoon rains, all of Punjab’s rivers and streams are flowing normally, according to a report released by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) one day ago.

A PDMA representative claims that the water flow in barrages and dams is likewise steady. Tarbela Dam now has 69% of its water level, whereas Mangla Dam has 58%. Water levels at Indian dams on the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers reach up to 39%.

It is anticipated that the monsoon rain pattern will last until July 31. In most of Punjab’s districts, further monsoon rains are expected during the next 24 hours, according to the PDMA prediction.
