A court in Rawalpindi has ordered a man to be charged with hiding his previous marriage.

Details: The man’s second wife complained to the extra sessions judge, who then ordered a case to be filed against the man for hiding his first marriage and lying to his second wife.

Sections 420, 465, and 495 were issued by the Rawalpindi court as orders to book the man.

An earlier incident in 2021 in the Narowal area of Punjab involved a man killing his wife because she wouldn’t agree to his second marriage.

Within the jurisdiction of the Raeya Khas police station in Narowal, a man killed his wife, who was the mother of three children, by torturing her severely and putting a rope around her neck. It was confirmed that her name was Sobia.
