A strong explosion inside an Islamabad home was caused by a gas leak, injuring five persons.

Initial reports state that a gas leak inside a residential property resulted in a loud explosion, and that the incident happened inside the jurisdiction of the Shams Colony police station.

The house was severely damaged when one of its walls collapsed due to the explosion’s extreme intensity.

Police and rescue personnel hurried to the location as soon as they learned of the event. The injured were quickly transported to a local hospital, where they are presently being treated.
