A Gujranwala man kills his younger brother because of a “very expensive power bill.”
Police say the crime happened at a home on Prince Road in Gujranwala city.
The brothers, identified by the police as Murtaza and Umar Farooq, reportedly got into a physical altercation because of their disagreement about the huge cost.
Umar was stabbed to death at the site by Murtaza with a sharp object in his throat. The police have opened a case against the suspect and are making raids to apprehend the primary offender.
In a related incident, a man in Faisalabad was fatally stabbed by his younger brother due to a “exorbitant electricity bill,” which they refused to settle.
