A PIA employee in Dubai was relieved of their duties due to charges of harassment.
PIA took prompt administrative action in response to the accusations, which were submitted by a female employee of Dnata, a general sales agent based in Dubai.
Several accusations of harassment against Zeeshan Ahmed, along with supporting documentation, were forwarded to the PIA management.
Apart from the internal grievances, a Dubai-based woman has submitted an official complaint against Ahmed to the Federal Ombudsman for Harassment, which is presently being examined.
Ahmed’s job in Dubai has been terminated by PIA while the investigation is ongoing.
A PIA representative reaffirmed that the airline has a zero-tolerance policy on harassment in the workplace and that, should the claims prove to be true, the company will take the proper administrative action.
Ahmed’s behavior is being looked into, and based on the results, more actions will be taken.
