A railway track explosion almost misses the Jaffar Express headed for Peshawar.

Fortunately, the Jaffar Express headed for Peshawar avoided a major catastrophe when a section of the rail track was destroyed by an explosion. The event took place on Tuesday night in the Sindh province, close to Shikarpur.

Passengers were traveling from Quetta to Peshawar on the train. The bomb went off a few minutes after the train had passed the explosion site, causing damage to the rail track in the Sultankot neighborhood of Shikarpur.

The Eid special train from Quetta to Punjab was halted as a precaution, according to Pakistan Railways officials. Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar, the interior minister of Sindh, asked the Shikarpur SSP for information regarding the incident.

The railway track was damaged, but no one was killed in the blast, according to the SSP of Shikarpur.
