According to PM Shehbaz, AI will drive Pakistan’s digital economy in the future.

According to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s development would reach new heights with the adoption of an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered digital economy.

The prime minister highlighted broadening the reach of digital infrastructure and speeding up the usage of contemporary technology while chairing a high-level meeting on AI promotion. He emphasised that the government’s main goals for modernising the economy are the IT and AI industries.

He pointed out that artificial intelligence will be strategically used to boost industrial productivity, economic growth, governance transparency, and young opportunity.

In order to ensure the proper use of AI in important areas including education, health, agriculture, and security, the prime minister oversaw the successful implementation of a national AI strategy, placing particular emphasis on data privacy, protection, and sovereignty.

The implementation of AI projects will be supervised by a steering committee, with technical advice from an advisory group of experts. AI experts, top officials, special assistants, and federal ministers attended the gathering.

PM Shehbaz came to the conclusion that Pakistan is well-positioned to become a regional leader in artificial intelligence due to its youthful population and increasing tech use, and the government is totally dedicated to this goal.
