According to Turkey, a second Turkish-owned vessel has passed through the Hormuz Strait.

According to Turkey’s Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu, a second ship flying the Turkish flag has crossed the war-torn Strait of Hormuz, according to AFP.

According to Uraloglu, fifteen ships owned by Turkish shipowners were awaiting passage through the vital waterway on February 28.

He said to the private CNN Turk station, “Two of these fifteen made the crossing.”

“Our initiatives and the fact that they were using Iranian ports or transporting goods from or headed for Iran explain this.”

When the second ship passed the strait was not mentioned by Uraloglu. On March 13, the first ship went through with Iranian approval.

CNN Turk claims that the two vessels are the Rozana and Neraki.
