After attempting suicide, a female university student is quickly healing.

After regaining consciousness, the female student who attempted suicide by leaping from the building of a private university in Lahore is rapidly recovering.

The student is presently receiving treatment at Lahore General Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The patient’s condition has been deemed stable and greatly improved by the medical board. On Monday morning, the student’s spinal vertebrae will undergo surgery. Her physical and mental recuperation is being supervised by a group of leading physicians and psychologists.

The student has been breathing without the use of a ventilator or oxygen support for the last two days, according to Professor Jowdat Saleem, Chairman of the Medical Board. Since regaining consciousness, he said, the student has communicated with her parents and medical personnel.
