Amid regional tensions, PM Shehbaz leads a plan to export excess food to Gulf nations.

In order to protect the country’s food needs, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the relevant authorities to guarantee thorough monitoring of food supply and demand.
He claimed that disruptions in global supply chains have expanded prospects for Pakistani products in regional markets while presiding over a conference to examine the nation’s food situation in Lahore on Sunday.
The prime minister ordered that Gulf countries’ food needs be met with extra care while maintaining their food security.
The meeting was informed that there is now no shortage of any necessary item in Pakistan and that the country has enough supplies of food commodities.
Shehbaz Sharif gave the order to develop a thorough plan for exporting excess grain to Gulf nations without compromising local food requirements.
Additionally, he underlined that food goods exported to friendly Gulf states must meet strict quality criteria.
The prime minister gave the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation instructions to take the required actions to make it easier for food products to be exported by sea to Gulf nations.
Pakistan’s agriculture industry, which includes crops, meat, poultry, dairy, and fisheries, has substantial export potential, according to officials.
The creation of a committee to assess the situation every day was ordered by the prime minister.
Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif gave Pakistan’s trade executives and diplomats stationed in Gulf nations instructions to continue actively promoting exports.
