An accident in Sheikhupura claimed a man’s life and injured his brother.

On Sheikhupura Road here on Saturday night, a motorcyclist was killed and his brother was seriously injured when a trailer driven carelessly crushed him.

They had just left a wedding ceremony and were heading home. They were behind the bride and groom’s car when they were struck by an overly fast trailer.

They thus suffered severe injuries. One of them, 45-year-old Saleem, later passed away en route to the hospital. Azeem, his brother, was hospitalized to DHQ Hospital. According to reports, he was in critical condition.

Police and emergency crews hurried to the scene of the accident after being alerted. The driver abandoned his car on the road and fled. The family was given the deceased body. The offender was being sought by the police.
