An oil complex in the Krasnodar region of Russia catches fire due to drone debris.

According to Russian authorities on Sunday, an oil complex in the Krasnodar area of Russia caught fire after falling debris from a wrecked drone.

Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties.

The destroyed oil plant is close to Tikhoretsk, where on Thursday Ukrainian drones attacked an oil pumping station. On Friday, the fire was put out.

Whether it was the same institution was not made clear by the authorities.

One of the biggest oil hubs in southern Russia, the Tikhoretsk hub serves as the sole supply route for petroleum products to Novorossiysk, a crucial Black Sea port.

The incident was the most recent in a string of drone attacks on the port and energy facilities in the area.
