Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, stated on Wednesday that any endeavor to diminish provincial authority will be rejected.
In a media address in the federal capital, Sohail Afridi stated that he sought authorization from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to see PTI founder Imran Khan; however, the meeting was prohibited despite the court’s directive.
Sohail Afridi asserted that it is his prerogative to meet his leader. I am utilizing democratic methods to engage with the PTI founder. He stated that Parliament is the paramount institution. I shall elevate my voice to confront Imran Khan. Today (Thursday), I shall meet the creator of PTI.
He additionally stressed that we would not condone any assault on province autonomy and will obstruct all efforts to undermine democracy. He asserted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) serves as the custodian of democracy and the Constitution.
Sohail Afridi stated that his objective in attending the assembly was to get the approval of a resolution permitting a meeting with the founder of PTI. “I will also request the Speaker of the National Assembly to facilitate a meeting with Imran Khan in order to seek his counsel on the constitutional amendment,” he added.
