During the discussion on the issuing and registration of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Punjab Kisan Card, the secretary stated that the outcomes concerning the registration of the Punjab Chief Minister Kisan Card are highly promising.
Iftikhar Ali stated that a comprehensive record of the registration of 121,000 farmers has been submitted to the Bank of Punjab. He further mentioned that the production of 250,000 kisan cards is now in progress.
In addition, he instructed the appropriate authorities to expedite the final printing process of the cards. He further emphasized that the registration target of over 200,000 farmers should be accomplished by August 1.
According to him, the Punjab CM Kisan Card is a requirement in order to access subsidized schemes and amenities provided by the Punjab Agriculture department.
Iftikhar Ali stated that the process of mechanization is in its last stages for the purchase of diesel and mobil oil from PSO filling stations.
In April 1, the Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected a petition challenging the inclusion of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s photograph on a Kisan Card in Punjab.
Justice Shahid Karim of the LHC ruled against a petition submitted by citizen Mashkoor Hussain.
In his request, the applicant, Mashkoor Hussain, claimed that CM Maryam Nawaz authorized the inclusion of Nawaz Sharif’s picture on the cards. However, he argued that public funds should not be used for personal publicity.
