Aqeel Malik: The Afghan Taliban must act against the TTP

Barrister Aqeel Malik, Minister of State for Law and Justice, stated that the Afghan Taliban must act against the TTP and that platitudes won’t help.
According to Barrister Aqeel Malik, the Afghan Taliban government asked Pakistan to give peace another try.
The Afghan Taliban must take action against the banned TTP, he said; platitudes won’t help. All factions of the Afghan Taliban government were represented at the Istanbul negotiations, he continued.
“We have made it clear that Pakistan will respond with full force if the attacks do not stop,” Aqeel Malik said.
He stated that we place a high value on Pakistan’s national security. As Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif took a strong stand, claiming that he is an experienced politician who does not require counsel.
He went on to say that they ought to appoint a member of their own party to lead the opposition since there are individuals inside the PTI who are superior to Mahmood Khan Achakzai.
