The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Services Chiefs, and the Pakistan Armed Forces are celebrating the 59th Defence and Martyrs Day by honouring the victorious history of the 1965 War, which exemplifies the nation’s unwavering determination and resolute courage.
According to the military’s communications division, September 6 is a significant day to honour the bravery, selflessness, and courage of our brave troops who courageously protected our country against strong challenges.
59 years ago, the Pakistan Armed Forces successfully prevented the enemy’s harmful intentions, achieving a significant triumph that would be remembered in history indefinitely. The statement noted that the 1965 War served as a symbol of optimism, showcasing the country’s ability to endure and remain steadfast amid challenging circumstances.
We express our sincere respect and admiration for the brave individuals of Pakistan who have lost their lives in the protection of their country since 1947, particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the battles and conflicts against terrorism. Their acts of selflessness will always be remembered.
We also honour the veterans who displayed great courage and selflessness in battle; their acts of bravery will forever be commemorated.
