As the Middle East escalates, Pakistan calls for moderation.

At a Security Council meeting, Asim Iftikhar, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, denounced the strikes on Iran.
Asim Iftikhar, the Pakistani delegate to the United Nations Security Council, expressed his concern over the current state of affairs in the Middle East during an emergency discussion on the subject.
He urged the parties to have patience and prudence, stating that the attack on Iran was carried out while diplomatic attempts were in progress.
Asim Iftikhar stated that Pakistan likewise denounces the killing of a Pakistani national in the United Arab Emirates, the attacks on Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Qatar, and that international rules must always be upheld.
The Pakistani representative went on to say that Oman’s mediation in the US-Iran negotiations is appreciated, that Pakistan denounces the attacks on Iran, and that the UN Charter should be upheld.
He also denounced the murder of a Pakistani national in the United Arab Emirates when speaking to the Security Council.
According to authorities, the person was killed by falling debris related to a missile strike.
“Pakistan also denounces the tragic loss of a Pakistani national in the United Arab Emirates as a result of this heinous assault,” he stated.
“We implore all parties to abstain from any additional measures that could jeopardize the safety and territorial integrity of other nations in the region,” he stated.
Trump claims that strikes killed Iran’s supreme leader.
Reports state that as part of operation “Fateh Khyber,” Iran unleashed a volley of drones and ballistic missiles, setting off air raid sirens throughout Israel.
According to reports, the strike targeted northern Israel, including the Hafizah neighborhood, where explosions were audible. The magnitude of the Iranian counterattacks was demonstrated by the explosions that also occurred in the capital, Tel Aviv.
Several missiles and drones were launched, according to Iranian military sources, and they hit strategic sites in Israel.
