He was in Lahore chairing a meeting about security and law and order in Islamabad.
The forum was briefed on the state of law and order in Islamabad, the model jail there, the secure city there, the federal anti-terrorism department, and the special protection unit.
Additionally, information was provided about the K-9 unit, which was set up to identify and track bombs and drugs, as well as the Islamabad National Facility Centres.
The prime minister addressed the gathering and declared that there will be no room for carelessness when it comes to upholding law and order and safeguarding the public. He ordered an investigation into the reason behind the Islamabad model jail’s completion delay.
According to him, the Islamabad model jail project needs to be finished as quickly as feasible while taking into account contemporary needs.
The construction of a hospital and vocational training facility in the Islamabad model prison was ordered by the prime minister. He suggested that when creating a special protection unit, Chinese specialists have to be consulted.
In the Islamabad safe city project, he also oversaw the construction of a forensic lab in accordance with contemporary specifications.
For all security initiatives in Islamabad, the Prime Minister has issued directives to guarantee the hiring of personnel based only on merit and the deployment of technology meeting contemporary needs and international standards.
