Azma blames the KP government for failing to announce the Ramadan aid package.

Azma Bukhari, the Punjab Information Minister, has chastised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) administration for not announcing its relief package for Ramadan.

She underlined that Punjab has been effectively allocating the “Ramazan Negahban Package” based on merit, guaranteeing that help reaches qualified citizens at their doorsteps, but the KP administration has not yet taken any action.

According to Bukhari’s statement, the KP administration appears to put personal benefit ahead of the general welfare, concentrating more on matters such as the release of certain persons and fostering division than on meeting the needs of the populace during Ramadan.

Additionally, she said that the KP government had not yet acquired the digital information required to make the aid process easier.

Bukhari recounted how the Ramadan package was distributed by the KP administration last year in accordance with the names of party members in the national and provincial assembly, using it for political ends.

On the other hand, the Punjab government has paid for a survey that was conducted over the entire province. 4.2 million families have received Ramadan Negahban cards as a result of the survey’s ability to gather information from every resident in the province.

The Christian community has also received their own relief funds.

Azma Bukhari further highlighted that Punjab has the biggest Ramadan package in Pakistan’s history, with 74 “Sahulat” markets operating around the province.

She also praised the work of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who provides Iftar meals to 2,000 fasting people every day in each Tehsil.
