Azma Bokhari denounces untrue statements made against Maryam Nawaz and calls for action against incorrect information.

Azma Bokhari, the Punjab Information Minister, has harshly denounced individuals disseminating what she called baseless accusations on Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Bukhari questioned how far detractors would go in their animosity toward Maryam Nawaz in a comment shared on the social media site X, stating that people who propagate false information must be held accountable.
She claimed that false allegations about the chief minister’s purported departure overseas had already been made, and that now her family is the subject of made-up rumors.
The public could have taken such statements seriously if the same amount of effort had been put into promoting false narratives, Bukhari continued.
The provincial communications minister went on to say that Maryam Nawaz would keep establishing public welfare programs and deepening her relationship with the populace in spite of the criticism.
She also said that it was no longer appropriate to use political victimization or retaliation narratives, emphasizing that those who propagate lies should now face consequences.
