Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman face difficulties when playing against Naseem Shah’s brother.
Ubaid has played for Islamabad United of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Pakistan Under-19 team. He is the younger brother of famous pace bowler Naseem Shah. Their third brother, Hunain Shah, is also a member of the United team.
Ubaid is seen bowling to Babar and Fakhar in the nets in a widely shared video, making them battle to match his pace and swing.
Babar Azam is hit with an outside off-stump delivery by the youthful pacer; the batsman leaves it, but the ball bounces back quickly and clears the stumps.
The ball smacks him in the chest as the star batter tries to play the hook shot against a short-pitched ball.
A defensive attempt is made by Fakhar Zaman, but the ball is missed and ends up in the wicketkeeper’s safe hands after just missing the bat.
For those who don’t know, Ubaid Shah took 18 wickets to rank as the second highest wicket taker at the Under-19 World 2024 in South Africa. He was also listed on the tournament squad.
