Before Eid, Lahore sees a spike in demand for fresh banknotes.

The demand for new currency notes has surged in tandem with the purchasing of new shoes and clothing as Eid draws near.
As people look for new notes for the holiday season, banks and the open market are humming with activity. The majority of consumers are forced to purchase new notes from the open market, where prices are much higher, even though banks are only offering restricted supplies under particular circumstances.
New 10-rupee notes are reportedly being offered on the open market for 600–700 rupees each, 20-rupee notes for 700–800 rupees, 50-rupee notes for 1,000–1,200 rupees, and 100-rupee notes for 800–1,000 rupees.
Customers clarified that as older notes are thought to be less suitable when paired with brand-new clothing and shoes during the festivities, new notes are thought to be necessary when delivering Eid gifts.
