BLA terrorists have kidnapped a woman in Kech; a search effort is currently in progress.

A woman was forcibly taken at gunpoint by armed militants on Wednesday evening in the Balicha region of Balochistan’s Kech district, leading police and security authorities to initiate a search operation for her recovery.

Official reports indicate that the event occurred between 4:30 pm and 4:45 pm when a Corolla vehicle halted outside a property in Balicha. A group of armed men emerged from the car and abducted a woman, subsequently identified as Nargis, before escaping the vicinity. The captors were claimed to be associated with the proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).

Following the kidnapping, the woman’s husband and nephew chased the vehicle in an effort to rescue her. The chase persisted until the car was apprehended in the vicinity of Nasirabad. Authorities stated that the altercation intensified as an armed insurgent exited the vehicle wielding an automatic rifle.

Shortly thereafter, additional militants arrived at the location on motorcycles, bolstering the abductors. Officials acquainted with the incident reported that the appearance of numerous armed personnel and their synchronized movements indicated a premeditated operation conducted openly and during daylight hours.

During the incident, the victim’s spouse and nephew were attacked by the militants. Their mobile phones were confiscated prior to the assailants vacating the vicinity with the kidnapped woman. Although no gunfire was reported during the altercation, authorities confirmed the utilization of weapons and physical force.

Local neighbors expressed increased apprehension after the incident, as the abduction transpired in a densely populated region. Law enforcement officers indicated that the seizure of mobile phones was designed to obstruct contact and postpone the reporting of the occurrence.

Subsequent to the kidnapping, law enforcement and security officials secured the vicinity and commenced search operations to locate the vehicle and ascertain the escape routes utilized by the militants. Checkpoints were instituted, and intelligence-driven initiatives were initiated to apprehend the culprits and guarantee the secure recovery of the woman.

Authorities stated that all viable leads were being investigated and collaboration was in progress among local police, Levies, and other security agencies. Authorities have yet to reveal additional information concerning the individuals or their escape route.

An official statement reaffirmed that the kidnapping of civilians is a grave criminal offense under Pakistani law and that the perpetrators will be prosecuted. Security authorities affirmed that operations will persist until the victim is securely retrieved.
