Cambodia wants to do more business with Pakistan.

Jam Kamal Khan, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Commerce, has emphasised the country’s changing export environment, pointing to the pharmaceutical industry’s steady expansion, ICT’s impressive success, and the food industry’s increasing value addition.
Ten years ago, Pakistan’s share of value-added food exports was small, but he claimed that the country is currently making great strides in all areas of the food value chain.
The minister also cited new and growing export categories as unmistakable proof of Pakistan’s increasing industry diversification and export maturity, including as engineering goods, tractors, water cycles, electrical and household appliances, cosmetics, and fragrances.
He acknowledged the difficulties with taxes, production costs, and business-to-business ease, but pointed out that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is giving these problems top priority.
In the upcoming months, he said, he was confident that continuing reforms will make room for steady economic growth.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Cham Nimul, the Cambodian Minister of Commerce, welcomed more Pakistani businesses operating in Cambodia and the larger ASEAN area and underlined the value of improved business-to-business (B2B) collaboration.
Noting that 166 Pakistani businesses are currently registered in Cambodia, she emphasised more extensive prospects for cooperation, joint ventures, and reciprocal investment.
