CM Maryam, Azma Bukhari was the target of a contempt petition for remarks she made on property law.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Information Minister Azma Bukhari are the targets of a contempt of court petition filed in the Lahore High Court.
Munir Ahmed, a citizen, filed the petition through attorney Azhar Siddique.
The petitioner said that remarks made by Azma Bukhari and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on the Punjab Property Ownership Act ruling constituted contempt of court.
It claimed that the judiciary’s reputation has been harmed by their negative comments over the suspension of the property law.
The petition also argues that it is unlawful to give the court’s order a political spin and that calling the decision in favour of the land mafia a severe charge.
The petitioner said that high officials’ remarks could affect the legal system and asked the court to send Maryam Nawaz and Azma Bukhari a show-cause notice for contempt of court.
