CM Punjab evaluates development initiatives and mandates stringent oversight

Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, presided over a special meeting to examine ongoing development projects around the province and gave officials instructions to guarantee stringent oversight and prompt completion.
Through a project gallery that provided visual updates from each tehsil, officials gave a thorough overview of projects during the event. The chief minister was also briefed on both financial and physical advancements via a live dashboard.
The chief minister gave the authorities instructions to report on the Punjab Development Program on a weekly basis. She especially instructed the Local Government Department to give frequent briefings on each city’s development efforts. She also demanded weekly updates on the “Model Villages” project.
The Local Government and Community Development Department is currently working on development projects in 51 cities, officials told the audience. The government intends to supply de-silting equipment, section machines, jetting machines, and dewatering sets to enhance sanitation and drainage systems.
Maryam Nawaz also stressed the importance of upholding hygienic standards, ordering the routine cleaning of garbage drums and waste bins.
The chief minister announced the construction of the first HDPE pipeline manufacturing facility in the province, with work scheduled to start on April 20. This is a significant development. In South Punjab, a comparable facility will also be built.
She also ordered that a special emphasis be placed on enhancing the general appearance of cities when WASA projects were finished.
