Dar and Araghchi talk on the state of affairs in Iran.

Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, spoke over the phone with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian counterpart.

They talked about the state of affairs in Iran and the surrounding area. Both parties decided to continue bilateral conversations on issues of mutual interest after Dar expressed hope for peace and stability.

Dar had already spoken over the phone with Kaja Kallas, the EU’s High Representative and Vice President.

Both presidents talked about measures to further strengthen their bilateral cooperation while applauding the positive momentum in relations between the EU and Pakistan.

They also discussed Iran and other recent regional and global developments. DPM/FM reiterated the value of ongoing communication and involvement.
Both parties committed to maintaining regular communication.
