DPM Dar travels to Beijing to co-lead a strategic dialogue between China and Pakistan.

According to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, has arrived in Beijing as part of an official visit to China.
According to the spokeswoman, Ishaq Dar and the Chinese foreign minister will co-chair the 7th China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue on Sunday.
The deputy prime minister will also take part in activities during the visit that will commemorate the start of the celebrations for Pakistan and China’s 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
The spokeswoman for the Foreign Office also mentioned that both nations have scheduled a number of projects and celebrations for 2026.
Ishaq Dar will be the first foreign dignitary to visit China in 2026, having been invited by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Dar and Wang Yi will serve as joint chairs of the strategic dialogue.
According to the Foreign Office, the discussions would concentrate on examining the entire range of bilateral cooperation between China and Pakistan, finding new opportunities for cooperation, and fortifying the two nations’ all-weather strategic cooperative alliance.

The visit demonstrates the two nations’ shared commitment to strengthening cooperation, fostering regional peace and stability, and achieving sustainable development, the Foreign Office continued, adding that it is a reflection of their frequent high-level exchanges.
In August, Wang Yi met with Dar, President Asif Ali Zardari, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad for the previous session of the strategic consultation.
China then underlined its commitment to collaborating closely with Pakistan in order to promote stability, growth, and peace in the area.
