Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has been named Gilgit-Baltistan’s next IGP.

Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, a BS-20 officer of the Pakistani Police Service, has been named the next Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gilgit-Baltistan by the Federal Government.

Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan was transferred from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), where he was working under the Interior and Narcotics Control Division, according to a statement released by the Cabinet Secretariat’s Establishment Division.

His posting was made in accordance with Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act of 1973, and it is effective right away unless additional directives are given.
