Dr. Dinshaw: Travel to the UK permitted for suspect in case of fictitious bank accounts
A three-person bench led by Justice Jamal Mandokhail oversaw the proceedings. The members of the bench were Justice Musarrat Hilali and Justice Shahzad Malik as well.
During the hearing today, the prosecutor from the NAB stated that the bureau has no issues with Dr. Dinshaw’s travel authorization.
Attorney Farooq Naek stated that Dr. Dinshaw is willing to present surety bonds when Justice Shehzad Malik questioned the assurance of his return.
Naek went on to say that since Dr. Dinsha was given bail in 2021, he has not abused it. Judge Malik raised concerns about the court’s ability to review its decision after three years, pointing out that the initial bail order demanded the passport’s surrender.
Judge Musarrat Hilali questioned what the NAB has been up to over the past four years and why the trial hasn’t started yet.
The suspect in the instance of the bogus bank accounts was later permitted to fly to the UK by the SC.
The doctor is supposed to return in two months and surrender in his passport to the trial court when he does.
