Due to the Punjab government’s burden of subsidies, metro bus fares may increase.

According to reports on Saturday, the Punjab government is allegedly considering raising Metro bus tickets in order to lessen the financial burden of subsidies as the growing costs of petroleum products start to affect public transportation.
According to the sources, there are plans to increase Metro bus services in Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi by Rs. 10, possibly starting on March 26.
Metro bus rates are now maintained at Rs. 30 thanks to a Rs. 31 billion subsidy provided by Punjab throughout the province.
However, a representative for the Punjab government stated that a final decision regarding fee increases has not yet been made.
