During Field Marshal Asim Munir’s visit, Pakistan and Libya decide to strengthen their defense ties.

During his official visit to Libya, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reached an agreement between Pakistan and Libya to strengthen defense cooperation at the military leadership level.
Field Marshal Munir received a guard of honor from the Libyan military upon his arrival, according to ISPR.
The two parties reiterated their commitment to strengthening defense ties during meetings with Field Marshal Khalifa Belqasim Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces.
Strengthening cooperation in training, capacity building, counterterrorism, and general military-to-military interaction were the main topics of discussion.
In order to serve common strategic and security interests, both leaders emphasized the significance of close collaboration. Pakistan reaffirmed its resolve to strengthen defense ties with Libya based on shared objectives and stability in the region.
It should be mentioned that Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces, recently stressed that the Pakistan Army remained fully focused on both internal and external challenges, such as hostile hybrid campaigns, extremist ideologies, and divisive elements attempting to undermine national stability.
During his visit to the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons, the COAS made this statement while speaking with officers and soldiers.
He was given an overview of the formation’s operational readiness and important efforts for enhancing combat readiness upon his arrival.
The field marshal praised the formation’s high professional standards and general level of preparedness after observing a field training exercise and an innovative simulator training facility.
He pointed out that modern combat necessitates agility, precision, situational awareness, and quick decision-making, underscoring the importance of technological flexibility.
