President Asif Ali Zardari has begun his four-day official tour to Iraq and has arrived in Baghdad.

The President of Pakistan received a warm reception from Iraqi officials as he arrived in the capital city.

Iraq and Pakistan decide to increase their bilateral cooperation in the areas of security and pilgrimage facilitation.

The president was met at the airport by Pakistan’s ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Zeeshan Ahmed, Iraq’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Professor Dr. Ahmed Fakkak Ahmed Al-Badrani, and other high-ranking officials.

President Zardari is anticipated to meet with Iraq’s top leadership during the visit to talk about ways to improve bilateral cooperation in a number of areas.

It is expected that the visit will deepen the brotherly ties between Iraq and Pakistan.
