EU High Representative Ishaq Dar talks about recent regional events.

On Monday, EU High Representative and Vice President Kaja Kallas had a conversation with Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister.

They voiced serious concerns about the recent regional developments in Iran and the larger Middle East during the phone call.

Ishaq Dar emphasized the importance of de-escalation, diplomacy, and communication. He also thanked the EU for its positive involvement and briefed the High Representative on the tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Both parties committed to keeping in constant communication regarding the changing regional circumstances.
