Expanding Mutual Commerce: Jam Kamal Discusses With Russian DY Trade Minister
In Islamabad, the Russian Federation’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade met with Jam Kamal, the Minister of Commerce, to talk about the two nations’ trade connections.
The talks centered on finding new trade prospects and enhancing economic collaboration between the two nations.
Jam Kamal Khan emphasized at the meeting the substantial unrealized potential in trade between Pakistan and Russia.
He underlined that the transaction volume may be greatly raised with persistent and active participation.
There was also talk of the forthcoming 5th Joint Working Group (JWG) meeting, which is set for September 26–27, 2024, in Islamabad. Topics covered on the agenda include investments, transportation and logistics, agriculture trade, customs, and industrial cooperation.
The Russian Deputy Minister acknowledged that there is much space for development even if he was satisfied with the existing status of economic relations.
The two ministers expressed hope for the future of Pakistan-Russian economic relations while acknowledging the significant potential for expansion in sectors like steel, livestock, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
