FinMin Aurangzeb is in Riyadh for the Global Development Finance Conference Momentum 2025.

Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister of Finance and Revenue, has left for Riyadh to attend the Global Development Finance Conference, Momentum 2025.

The three-day event, which is sponsored by Prince Mohammed bin Salman and organized by the National Development Fund (NDF), brings together financial experts, development organizations, and international officials to promote creative funding solutions that support Saudi Vision 2030’s goals.

The conference is positioned as a premier venue for converting development-focused concepts into impact-driven projects, with over 100 speakers representing over 120 international and regional organizations.

The Finance Minister will join world leaders in a high-level discussion on climate adaptation and resilience during the conference to discuss how developing nations may obtain the funding required to address climate vulnerabilities.

His involvement will draw attention to Pakistan’s climate financing priorities and the government’s initiatives to increase economic resilience to environmental threats around the world.

Key bilateral discussions between the Finance Minister and senior Saudi officials, including those from the Ministry of Finance and the National Development Fund, will take place.

The main goals of these interactions will be to increase cooperation across priority areas, investigate prospects for development funding, and expand Pakistan-Saudi economic cooperation.

It is anticipated that his discussions with Saudi counterparts will strengthen current economic reforms and provide opportunities for further funding and investment.

Senator Aurangzeb will also speak to major international media outlets, such as CNN and RIA Novosti, on the margins of the summit. In these interviews, he will discuss Pakistan’s economic reform trajectory, investment potential, and development funding needs.

Senator Aurangzeb will also take part in an interview with CGTN in order to clarify Pakistan’s changing development plan and broaden the country’s reach to international audiences.
