Following a drop in fuel prices, Rawalpindi reduces transport costs by as much as 26%.

The public has received excellent news as transport fares have decreased, following a notable decline in the cost of petroleum products.
The Regional Transport Authority and transporters successfully met in Rawalpindi, where it was determined to reduce passenger and goods vehicle tariffs by five to twenty-six percent.
Representatives from the goods transport organization and transport unions attended the conference, which was presided over by Asad Abbas Shirazi.
Following thorough deliberations, it was determined that fares for vehicles powered by diesel would be lowered by 15%, while those for vehicles powered by petrol would be lowered by 5%. Fares for the transportation of products will be lowered by 26% in the interim.
Following a 3.13 percent drop in fuel prices and a 25.91 percent drop in diesel costs, authorities and transportation stakeholders decided to transfer the relief to the general population.
