Following the protest-induced disruption, PIA flight operations have resumed.

Following a protest by aircraft engineers that halted the national flag carrier’s flights on Monday, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) resumed flying operations on Tuesday with some modified arrangements.

According to a statement from the PIA administration, “the airline restored the operations by employing alternative means and working tirelessly throughout the night and day, thereby mitigating the impact of already delayed flights for subsequent operations.”

“Flight operations are being fully restored and customer convenience is our utmost priority and that our operations run smoothly,” the airline promised the public.
