For improved surveillance, Sindh police intend to establish an aerial surveillance squad.

To improve surveillance throughout the province, including metropolitan areas, highways, railway tracks and riverine regions, Sindh Police have made the decision to create a special aerial surveillance division.
Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho, who established a committee of top officers to create standard operating procedures, an operational framework, and the organisational structure for the new unit, presided over the meeting when the decision was made.
DIG IT Imran Yaqub gave attendees a briefing on current aerial monitoring systems, including the usage of drones, contemporary technology, and related training requirements.
IG Odho underlined that digital and aerial surveillance are now crucial to contemporary law enforcement. He pointed out that the use of cutting-edge technology will boost public confidence in law enforcement as well as efficiency and transparency.
Officials claim that by detecting suspicious activity and facilitating prompt action, especially in sensitive and distant places, the planned technology will promote timely crime prevention.
Additionally, authorities anticipate that the project will improve crowd control, improve traffic management, and improve protection for residents and their property throughout the province.
