For the 27th Amendment, the coalition government has the backing of 237 MNAs.

With the anticipated backing of 237 lawmakers, including coalition partners, the federal administration is preparing to introduce the 27th Constitutional Amendment in the legislature.

Parliament is now working to adopt the 27th Constitutional Amendment.

There are 336 members of the National Assembly. The House has 326 members because of the 10 open seats. A constitutional amendment needs the backing of 224 members. Currently, 237 members, including the PPP, back the government coalition.

With 125 members, the PML-N is the largest political party in the government coalition. The MQM has 22, the PPP has 74, the PML-Q has five, and the IPP has four.

It has the backing of four independent members in addition to one each from the National Party, the Balochistan Awami Party, and the Muslim League Zia.

The Assembly contains 89 opposition members, including 75 independent members on the opposition benches, 10 members of the JUI-F, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, BNP Mengal, Sunni Ittehad Council, and one member from each of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Parties.

With 65 votes for the ruling coalition, the amendment needs 64 votes out of 96 to pass the Senate.
