Funeral prayers conducted for the slain officers in the D.I. Khan terrorist attack.

Funeral prayers were conducted with full state honours for five police personnel who were martyred in a terrorist assault in Dera Ismail Khan.
The funeral prayers took place at Ejaz Shaheed Police Lines, where the coffins of the deceased officers were displayed with a guard of honour. High-ranking military and police officers, civil society representatives, political and social leaders, together with relatives of the martyrs, participated in the prayers.
Subsequent to the funeral, the remains were sent to their places of origin for interment.
The event transpired the previous day inside the jurisdiction of the Pinyala police station in the Wanda Badh region of Dera Ismail Khan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The police officers, including a Station House Officer (SHO), were killed after a gunfight with terrorists.
Police reported that the personnel were conducting a regular patrol when they were unexpectedly ambushed. During the gunfight, DSP Adnan of Paharpur Circle also incurred severe injuries.
