Grade 21 police officer Azad Khan has been chosen as the next Chief of Police in Karachi.

The Chief Secretary of Sindh, Asif Hyder Shah, has released an official notification concerning the appointment. Azad Khan, a Grade-21 officer, has been officially assigned to oversee the city’s police force.

The appointment occurs alongside a succession of other significant transfers and assignments within the Sindh Police.

Zulfiqar Larak has been appointed as the Assistant Inspector General of the Special Branch, as per the notification.

Sharjeel Kharal has assumed the position of AIG Police Operations Sindh. Iqbal Dara has been appointed as the AIG of Police Training in Sindh.

Faisal Abdullah Chachar has been designated as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Mirpurkhas. Furthermore, Nasir Aftab has been assigned the supplementary responsibility of DIG Sukkur.

Additionally, Pervez Chandio has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General of the Establishment Division in Sindh.

The transfer and assignment occurred following the retirement of former IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon on December 31 and the appointment of Karachi Police Chief AIG Javed Alam Odho as the new IG Sindh.
