Hafiz Hamdullah says that the constitutional change has empowered individuals rather than institutions.

Hafiz Hamdullah, a central leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), stated on Wednesday that the constitutional amendment has fortified individuals rather than organisations.

Hafiz Hamdullah stated that these individuals were the architects of the 1973 Constitution, however none experienced any sense of shame.

He additionally stated that the interests of the nation and the public are considered in the legislative process; nevertheless, there is not a single provision in the entire amendment that embodies national or public interest.

He asserted that to fortify the nation, institutions must be reinforced. This amendment has not strengthened the Parliament; instead, the government is opposing the Constitution. He cautioned that the resignation of judges would destabilise the state.

Hafiz Hamdullah asserted that the political strategies of the PPP and PML-N have entirely disintegrated. “They ought to engage with the populace and observe — they possess no remaining authority.” “Every child in the nation is aware of the current events,” he stated.

During the same event, Ikhtiar Wali, a politician of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Coordinator for the Prime Minister, asserted that the PML-N is not engaging in a conflict with the Constitution, but rather safeguarding it.

Ikhtiar Wali stated that their objective is to rectify the erroneous aspects. He stated that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) opposed the 27th Amendment, using their democratic right, while having backed the 26th Amendment.
