Honoring Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed on the 66th anniversary of his martyrdom
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the occasion of his 66th anniversary of martyrdom, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the Services Chiefs paid a solemn and heartfelt tribute to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, the recipient of the prestigious Nishan-e-Haider.
The second recipient of the distinguished Nishan-e-Haider, Major Tufail Muhammad, gave his life in 1958 in the Lakshmipur sector of East Pakistan while fighting fearlessly against the enemy.
He demonstrated unmatched bravery, unshakable resolve, and unwavering loyalty to duty by resolutely completing his task while suffering deadly injuries.
Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed’s martyrdom anniversary serves as a moving reminder of the Pakistan Armed Forces’ tremendous sacrifices and unwavering devotion to defending the nation.
The ISPR statement said, “We honor the memory of these gallant sons of the soil who have made the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard our nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
