IG Punjab honors the GPO Chowk blast martyrs

He added that 16 Punjab Police officers and staff gave up their valuable lives on this very day in 2008. Two ASIs and fourteen other employees perished in the GPO Chowk incident.

According to the IGP, every Lahore Police officer acts as a front-line force for the defense of the country and nation, and the remembrance of the martyrs of the GPO Chowk tragedy will always be vivid in our hearts.

Dr. Usman Anwar added that all resources are being used for the welfare of the heirs of the police officers who died in the GPO Chowk disaster and that the relatives of the martyrs have been given positions in the police department.
