In a crackdown on illegal Afghans living in Karachi, more than 20 people were apprehended.

On Friday night, police carried out an operation against Afghan nationals living unlawfully in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth neighborhood, resulting in the arrest of around 20 Afghan nationals.

A targeted operation was conducted at particular areas on the special orders of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh. Before the search operation began, all of the area’s entrances and exits were secured, and searches were carried out from door to door.

Biometric equipment were also used to verify suspected persons. The operation involved a sizable police presence, including female policemen.

DSP Aurangzeb Khattak was in charge of overseeing the search effort. Over 20 Afghan nationals were taken into custody, and the detainees are still being questioned.
