According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), year-over-year (YoY) inflation based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 7% in February 2026, up from 5.8% in January 2026 and 1.5% in February 2025.

The most recent PBS data indicates that the CPI inflation urban climbed 6.8% year over year in February 2026, compared to 5.8% the month before and 1.8% in February 2025. Compared to a decline of 0.7% in February 2025 and an increase of 0.2% the month before, it climbed by 0.3% in February 2026.

In February 2026, CPI inflation in rural areas grew by 7.3% year over year, compared to 5.8% the month before and 1.1% in February 2025. In February 2026, it grew by 0.3% month over month, compared to a 0.6% growth the month before and a 1.1% decline in February 2025.

On a month-over-month (MoM) basis, it grew by 0.4% in February 2026 compared to 1.1% in the previous month and 0.4% in February 2025, the same month last year.
