In Islamabad, a gas cylinder explosion claimed five lives and injured ten.

A gas cylinder explosion in the G-7/2 district of Islamabad on Sunday claimed the lives of at least five individuals and injured ten more.

According to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), a gas leak caused the explosion, which seriously damaged a number of nearby homes. Fifteen individuals were removed from the impacted residences by rescue crews. Five of the people that were saved passed away from their wounds.

The injured were taken to local hospitals for prompt medical attention, according to the ADC. Medical personnel were treating the injured after the event, and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) was put on high alert to tackle the emergency.

All of the trapped people have been successfully rescued, according to the authorities. To ascertain the precise reason of the gas leak and explosion, an inquiry has been started.
